From the wordpress link DCrider provided:

The Retriever’s towing rig carries the weight of the car on three wheels so the motorcycle can still be ridden normally. Since the motorcycle is only providing the torque necessary for towing and doesn’t have to carry extra weight, the vehicle is easily moved and a six cylinder Goldwing has all of the power you need. The Retriver can tow cars up to 5500 pounds.

But they don't say anything about bringing that 5500 lb. load to a stop.

My Weekend

Well folks, the neighbors' homes are safe after the carnage two Marines can do. I had to drop 6 trees that were dead and destined to come down on their own during the next storm. So after getting the ok from the county and HOA, I was ready for "timber." My buddy arrived Friday and it was off to Lowes for a few supplies. Saturday morning was breakfast by Lance i.e. waffles, bacon, and coffee. Then the chainsaw was flying around my back yard. The first 4 trees were painless. The last two were just plain scary. The first, a 55 foot oak was leaning toward my neighbors house. We used rope and a winch to get the tree at least vertical and then started cutting. After a combination rope work and such the tree landed within 5 degrees of the intended spot. The last one was a 45 foot pine with the same challenges. Again, we got it down with little skill and much divine intervention. Now that work is over it was time to ride. Temps averaged around 50 degrees but we were warm. Here are some pics.

Kevin had never ridden Katie or a GS style bike but was looking like a veteran.

I know what your thinking, does Lance have a man crush? Nope, I couldn't keep my eyes off Katie. She is a dirty girl and doesn't care who rides her... I do like to watch though

We stopped off at Chapel Point for the view and then the long way around to the Green Turtle for Dinner.

Man are those two hot little porn stars. I am one lucky guy.

The plan was for Kevin to leave Sunday morning but he had so much fun Saturday afternoon we decided after eggs and sausage, it was time for a 7 hour bike excursion.

We first headed back to Chapel Point to the park... Kevin wanted to get Katie a little dirty. He had so much fun, we headed to Myrtle Grove for more dirt. Once we arrived at the pond, a familiar SMIB thread contributer greeted us... it was Marty aka lakota. Thanks for the chat and advice on the upcoming Trans Lab trip. Hopefully Bruce and I can buy you lunch and get more nuggets of wisdom from you. OK, our next stop is Starbucks.

Then we headed to Point lookout. But first a stop at the Ridge Mart for a coke and snickers.

Again, I am one lucky guy.

Now back home and getting ready for a new work week. Hope you all enjoyed. Between both days Chasey and Katie got in 450 miles each.

Lance, I saw you coming south through Leonardtown yesterday. The kids and I were in the cage headed for the Dorf. I couldn't figure out who was riding with you though. It didn't occur to me at the time, that both bikes belonged to you.

Man... that thing is big! I know all the girls say that to you Scott.

How much does it weigh? Similar to 2 lazyboys, on the roof of a Civic, on two wheels I would imagine.

Enjoy!

joints4sale: I keep saying to folks that Southern Maryland is like one big small town. Very cool, much fun going on miny road trips with friends who ride Big Dog rigid frames... they can leave them at home and ride a GSA. He is definitely a fan... I wasn't being a good big brother,
every time he said "this is great" I responded with, "let's trade in that ball and chain and get a GSA at Morton’s."

lakota: I figured that... as a fellow dog person. They really are higher on the food chain than a cager. You will get an invite

Higher than people in general. Half of my best friends have been dogs.

The only reason your dog doesn't run away is because you feed it.

That's the only reason my wife stays. My dogs catch squirrels and bring them to me.

Clearly not the words of a dog person.

Not that there's anything wrong with that...

Personally, I don't "have" dogs. I live with dogs.
