I've been thinking about getting a pair of these. I'm not sure if the goatee is required though...

Man, if I were in the market for a truck, that would be sweet. I hope someone snatches it up soon.

I have the Adventure pants - that's what I wore most of last year. Comfortable and they can be worn under almost anything.

If I were around this weekend I'd definitely be there. It can't be that hard if I've done it before

I like those bay built boats. But I'm a boat ho.

I have a 30 foot cruiser. It had a 454 in it. Got 1MPG going 6mph and planing at 28. Couldn't stand it anymore and put 2 yanmar (yes yanmar) 36 hp diesel (yes diesel) outboards on it. Doesn't plane anymore, but I get 9 mpg at 6 knots/ and it smells like french fries when I put biodiesel in it. bikes are not my only obsession. OH the things JaxWife has put up with.

Edit... Where the hell does Intrigue live? I was gonna try to ride Michaux again this w/e

I have the standard model (not mesh) and found them to be comfortable even in hot weather. I also have the shirt and one of their heavily armored shirts (they sent me a nice coupon with the original set) on the outside chance that I start doing something rash like playing in the dirt).

I need to get something for the Muffynmonster and because she's so short (and because altering woman's riding pants would be a nightmare) I am ordering a set of the Bohn pants and some kevlar jeans for her.

I'm replacing my wheel bearings after noticing a loose rear wheel and finding a dry bearing way past being worn out on the brake side. Anyone have experience with bearings with solid lubricant inside? Here are some at McMaster that I'm looking at: perma-lube bearings I'm guessing they're something like these NSK bearings.

They look nice in that they don't have grease that'll emulsify and flush out after water crossings and washing the bike ( yeah right!) and should last longer, but I can't find any information on using them for wheel bearings. For all I know they're cheaply made with the cost coming from the solid lubricant and they'll fail anyway. Another advantage is I know McMaster will have them at my door tomorrow if I order them today...

Maybe I'll just go with regular sealed bearings and install them when they come in next week.

all this wrenching... cool.

I am replacing the steering head bearings in my GS... it has been notchy for quite some time. This could get interesting, I'm supposed to freeze them before install...
Lemme know how your wheel bearing install goes Mike. My bike is evidently notorious for going through wheel and steering bearings... who knew?

Dave, I did a fork spring upgrade and it was really simple. You might want to play with extra spacers and different weight oil to dial it in. My only cautionary tale is, don't take the cap off the tube when the shock is compressed.

ask me how I know.

if you are not in a rush we can research it. Double sealed KLR bearings are cheaper and better made than stock.

I haven't hade an issue with mine is because every time I pull the wheel I pull the seal back and insert grease with a needle fitting.
