Too far for me...

I have to process my Renewed passport at the Newburg MD Post office. Any SMIBs out there who want to take care of the whole pesky process in one day? 10AM - 2PM. I need it for the LAB trip. Things needed are a checkbook, Proof of Citizenship, and Proof of Identity. They do photos on site... my math is the whole thing cost like $190 bucks.

I'll watch but my girls don't have the right kicks for that terrain.

JP Rifles specs 271 for their V-Tac handguards because the nut becomes the foundation for the barrel extension.

I'm saying that the 1220F temperature referenced does not take alloys into consideration. The heavy aluminum cookware I've seen is a rough cast, much like cast iron pipe with little or no alloy to help make it hard. Look at the difference in T6065 and T7075. T7075 is much harder and much more durable - an undoubtedly melts at a higher temperature.

Too far because I need to process my application in the middle of the day...

But you knew that but I emulate the pansy and poser often.

Shortly after this happened I started using heat crayons and eliminated the problem.

I still use 271 on clients rifles - too many of them wind up in harms way and I'll not risk something coming undone. The nut I refer to is on the outside and retains that handguard, not the barrel. The handguard nut gets ridiculously hot under any kind of sustained fire (on semi-auto) and absurdly hot under full auto - ergo the use of 271. The actual barrel nut is coated with anti seize and torqued.
