I may have to buy that bead buddy when I get back and I have no idea what that tire paste is...I was wondering the same thing though. I think tubeless maybe just a bit harder in the bead area and if you have a few thousand miles it may be a bit harder as well but I agree with your "out of the box" comment.

He's well trusted in the local BMW owners club.
