Lastly, mayhem from Dunkle Hollow. I'm not sure how it happened.

Maybe all the rough riding on Dunkle make that artery clogging "call 911 ASAP I'm having an instant heart attack" hamburger spew up in his mouth and he lost focus on the trail

The suspension is near perfect. Standing beside a stock 950 it is about an inch lower but still has more ground clearance than anything at Willville (GS, GSA's 800's, 650's, Wee & Vee Stroms). Riding back roads where the engine rpm's were far from constant, there wasn't a lot of pain in my wrists (thumb yes, but that's repairable over the winter) unfortunately, I hit slab for about 8 miles and at a constant 77 (5,000 RPM), it was miserable. Enough so that I had to pull the clutch in and let go of the throttle as I came down the last grade.

so Mike does using a cramp buster/throttle rest on the slab not help with your wrists?

Not really. The problem appears to be that the frequency of the vibration reacts with the steel bar in my wrist and literally makes the entire wrist "buzz".

He rode it the entire way into the side of the mountain. I think he was still lying underneath it with his hand on the throttle... trying to gas it out of there.

So does it bother you at other RPM's/speeds? Could it be regeared to change the frequency which it vibrates at or there are many products on the market which help with bar vibration. Not dissing you or anything Dave but the KLR guys talk about the vibrations of their bikes and cures for it all the time...maybe worth investigating.

It has bar weights and I replaced the fancy KTM grips with the same grips a lot of Dakar riders use. That helped but it didn't cure the problem. Anything much over 4000 RPM is uncomfortable and it becomes unbearable if I have to maintain a set speed.
