Ancient Bristlecone pines, White Mountains, California

The oldest living organisms on Earth are Bristlecone pine trees, the oldest one is over 4700 years old.

One of the reasons for their longevity is that part of the tree will die back to allow the rest of the tree to continue living when there is not enough moisture to feed the whole tree.

Any bug enthusiast out there??
I transplanted this Scot Pine tree about 4 years ago & enjoyed watching it take root & thrive. Is it a goner?
