Trailtrick,
The picture on the first page of this thread shows a rear tire on the ktm that doesn't look like a mefo explorer 99. Is there a new mefo tread pattern or tire available? Or is the tread different from 150/70-18 to a 130/80-17. Thanks, X Also, sstewart why would you not want to turn the front tire around if it totally fixes the problem? Mefo
I am turning it around for a trip this weekend. I am just concerned about a tire designed to run in the other direction. My main cocern is that I'm bad to go fast at times. Just trying to be as safe as possible.

MEFO front 10,143 miles
Hey sstewart, i just ran 10,143 miles on my MEFO front tire, 07" 990adv. The tire did surprisingly well. very little wear at 5000 miles, the tire showed significant wear at the 7500 mile mark and was pretty bad looking at 9000 miles. The last 1000 miles was dirt ( Toroweap, Grand Caynon) and 80 MPH paved roads, not a great idea but it lasted all the home.

Mefo at 2K
...at about 2K or so, seems to be holding up well, 50/50 dirt/tarmac and I spin the rear alot!
Isn't hooking up quite as well as new, front looks fine.
