Hey Docking Pilot and FatBouy,

With those two contrasting reviews right next to each other, could the two of you please restate your height, inseam and tell us about your seat/position.

It's hard to go back through the thread to see if you have posted that.

In fact, if ALL posters to a windsheild thread would repeatedly state their "specs" it would really help. This is the internet, it's hard to remember how tall every one is.

As we've done in the pannier thread, perhaps it would be useful to update the OP's first post to include this type of information (windshield model/height, rider height/inseam, seat type, ris / erfootpeg mods) so as to keep it in one, easily accessible, place.

Lets not forget to mention helmet in that list as well.
I love my Aeroflow Tall yet DP tried it before getting the Desierto and had buffeting issues where as I dont. So I believe helmets play a big role in the evaluation of a windscreen performance.

reworked stock seat, but still stock height
seating position- not too cold, not too hot but jusssst right

Renazco Seat (about same hight as oem standard)
Arai XD & Shoei Hoent. Both acceptable with this shield but Hornet better.

On a scale of 1-10 Im getting a 9 from the D-3 in wind diversion. I can ride at highway speeds with my shield up and glasses on all day. Screen in forward position.

I think the culprit here, for me, has a good bit to do with height. I either need to be about 3 inches lower or two feet higher!!!

Anyone have an XL Aeroflow that they would like to work a deal on for my Desierto? I know it's a long shot since there are not many AF owners out there yet...

Man I really want to like this thing.

Have you thought about a custom 'front screen'. Wouldn't be impossible to do.

you mean like an add-on that can be R&Red as needed? If so that would be perfect, but I have no idea of how it would affix to the TT.

Nope, not an add on. a replacement for the front plexi screen. Make a plywood template. Thermo mold plexi or lexan. trim, sand edges, drill holes. done.

Toughest part is making the plywood template but it can be done... heck if there's enough people interested, I'll make the damn thing.

Hey,
After reading all of these posts about different screen's etc.
I finally bit the bullet and ordered the TT D3. (also ordered the lockable toolbox that goes on the front of the BMW Bash Plate)
Shit I hope I have done the right thing!
I guess I wouldn't be the only one to buy a new Farkle for my bike to find it ain't as I had hoped.

Will be posting an update when the goodies arrive and are installed and tested.
