I am going to install a center stand today. Who wants to help me stretch a 1,000,000,000 pound spring about two inches to install it.

It looks like I may need to get real inventive.

Geek, I took your advice and it worked great.

Actually I took the stand off, Hooked up the spring, used a ratchet strap around the rear wheel, and pulled the stand back into position. It worked slick.

Another good way is to get some way to stretch it off the bike, then every time you get it to expand a little, jam a penny in the gap between the coils, rinse repeat.

Scooter all back together and wanting a shake down ride. When I get the Laundry finished I might just have to go out for a while and see if I can get back. Lots of things were changed and done differently so it will probably be a short first hop. then longer etc. I don't think I want to head out on an epic ride today anyway.

Blake, are you down at Mike's today ?

no, I just got off the phone w/ him though. They're into the GS pretty good and he was giving me a heads up on a couple things they found.

Which way you heading? I'm quite a ways south....so if you head north I probably will never catch you
j/k....I'm going to run a few errands this morning, and might be on the bike this afternoon or tomorrow, if you want to do a Sunday shakedown.

I am not going to stray to far. Maybe head 1/2 way up coal creek or just ride over by rocky flats and down towards Golden. It looks like things will be done enough to head out from here about 1:30 for an hour or so.

If all goes well today then tomorrow might be a plan also.

Marc

Yea! Shakedown cruise done with no problems. Well other than the loose nut behind the wheel not having the key turned all the way on and it would not start after the first stop.

Proof for pfb:

Now to go over it all again and just make sure.

Marc

I couldn't get away today, but want to get out tomorrow for a while.

I'll buy you lunch if you let me ride it 20 ft....

Blake,

Bill got a new Ducati ST4 and we are going to hit up the peoples republic of Boulder for a coffee tomorrow. Bill is scheduled to be up at my abode around noonish. If'n you want to stop by and take a ride with us it would be grand. I just have to let the Norton teach that old slow Ducati what for.

OK now remember, shift on the right, brake on the left, one up three down, look a quarter.

Marc
