Yep, CGWT you are back in the saddle for sure! Pleasure meeting you and riding with you over Thanksgiving. I think this Russian adventure post is incredible, and maybe me and my brother will have a chance at this in the future!

Thanks for posting up this excellent adventure and giving us the chance to ride along virtually!

Excellent adventure travel website you have! http://www.sibirskyextreme.com/about/

agreed, 5 stars for sure. what an incredible adventure! what struck me the most about your story was the humanity, hospitality and generally good nature of all the folks you encountered...the bikini shots were pretty nice too

seriously, many thanks.

Just awesome report, enjoying every post, always looking forward to the next one.

Makes one want to hop the next plan to Europe someplace and buy a good used Tenere or something and just start riding EAST!

this surely deserves the 5 star rating.

Agreed, what do we need to do, to make that happen?

well it will be pretty well covered in the thread to come. The XT made it back to England but one potentially fatal flaw in its design almost cost Terry his engine, and his trip.

But dont tell JMo ... i know she is of the belief the XT is the most solid unit in the universe

Awesome!

Colebatch, I just spent the major portion of my Saturday reading the Tuva, Road of bones and this thread. Great stuff, the pictures and the comments on the culture are fascinating. Your threads completely changed my preconceived notions of what Russia is like. Now I want to go there and see for myself.

I can't wait to see how your going to top this ride report!
