If you want crisp and instantaneous throttle response with more torque down low, you can't beat Lennie's Sprockets along with a Techlusion or Wunderlich controller. YMMV
What do the sprockets do..advance cam timing?

Correct. They basically shift the powerband lower in the RPM range.

I looked at that briefly, 9 degrees seemed like a lot to me

Did you put 'em in your GS or HP2?

GS, I'm leaving the HP2Sport stock. Plus, that bike's fast enough as is!

I kind of like the hit at 5500 rpms up to redline on my 08 GS, does adding the sprockets kill the top end?

You have not even tried that, how the hell do you know?...

I did not find any of my top end killed... but then, it's all a matter of preference, really. I rarely hit anything over 7K RPM... yet, when I do, the front end still gets light.

I did not notice all too much of a drop of anything... well, fuel consumption maybe, as my riding style got even aggressive...

But what the hell do I know, I only have about 30K miles on bikes with sprockets under my belt...
