191

I ride 191 from Safford to Alpine and back every other weekend. SWEET ride, better views and less traffic traffic than 180. Hit me up if anyone wants to ride it on Saturdays and Sundays.

new ride

looking for some input, going to sell the drz and bandit and get a mid size dual.
i want something light enough to take on rough dirt roads, but big and comfortable enough to take on a overnight trip.
I'm going to try used first, but husky has 3.9% financing on the terra or strada through july.
the adventurous part of my brain is looking at used ktm, husky and bmw. the frugal part is looking at used KLR. 600-650 is looking good as far as weight , but 800-900 size is also attractive for the size. most of my trips would be day trippin, but i would like to get in at least 4 overnights a year.
also anyone have a decent handlebar in the garage that would fit the drz? the one on it has taken a beating and to sell it i am going to replace it. also a blue left side radiator shroud if anyone knows of one laying about.

my only weekend free in June was the second one, so I was not able to make it. Got all my gear waiting for the next run, but with monsoons, not sure when it will be.

Can't do Montezuma Pass on Friday, but interested in the July stuff. My summer trip to Wyoming was called off, so I have time.

I am aware of the dirt section at the top of mt. graham but are you referring to a some sort of route that skips the pavement all together?

I think he means "not the highway". I'm not sure how much of the route is paved and how much gravel, but there is a route around the west side of the mnt up to safford instead of 191

The road up graham is twisty enuf that being paved doesn't count against it.

Probably for the better to wait until the area has had some rain. I went up mt. graham and the end of august last year and it was damn nice since the area had gotten quite of bit of rain recently.
