I've not ridden or seen a multistrada but it looks like it would do well on dirt road touring. I've had good experience with the tourance tires so far, but i think i will be getting a more aggressive tread. I sure would like to see the multistrada when you get it. riding it back I assume?
You won't get Tourances on a Stroodle until they come in sport bike sizes. 120/70R17 and 180/55R17

You can supposedly get TKC-80s that fit, but I suspect the rear will only last about 500 miles on a Duc and they are spendy to be burning up like that.

So, um, I saw that it costs $16 per person to get into the crater place up north...and being the cheap SOB I am, that part of my proposed Labor Day trip is out...

Also, the only campsite I can find in Holbrook is at the KOA. $23 a night...

Open to suggestions if anyone has any. Maybe some stealth camping is in order.

Yes, I'm flying to WA on the 29th of August and plan on 4 days riding back. Going to do a Crater Lake>Lake Tahoe>Lake Havasu>Parker Canyon Lake :-) route back to Bisbee.

I think I'm going to start with Pirelli Scorpion Trail. They aren't much offroadyficated but they have the right size and good reviews.

I've had TKC's on a couple XR650L's and my KTM 990 Adventure. They are my favorite tire but wear so fast that I can't expect them to get decent mileage on a bike with 150HP.

Mefo super explorer rear works very well & should last 6-9k depending on how abusive you are. Zenn Moto has them in stock, I run the 150-18, he has the 140/17's on the shelf.

I have the Pirelli scorpions on my monster... I find them to be pretty decent on gravel roads and twisty asphalt.

The 140s are way to narrow for the fat rear on the bigger Ducatis.

I think my buddy just backed out (saw his ride listed on CL today). So, I will be up for major changes to my original plans. I'll be open to any ride...

Supercheap question....

Has anyone local got one of those black plastic tool tubes laying around? I wanna hold it up to my bike for some prototype work on a project I'm thinking about before i spend a whopping $16.
