I was supposed to ride with some people this weekend, they flaked out (Yes, you know who you are). Anyways, made the ride out of SV and headed south and over the Coronado mountain pass. Hooked a left and made my way to the fence. Making my way to Patagonia for some lunch. Then rode to SOnoita on the road and back to the dirt at Parker Canyon Lake. I've got to say the difference in road quality between the Coronado road and border fence road was amazing.
All said and done it was a 130 mile day, ALONE.

Where were you with the EZout then? Snapped/stripped bolts are no fun. Next time....

returned

Allright, I'm back. Looks like I missed out on some good rides. Can't wait to get out and ride. Anyone have some input on better tires than the tourance? I like them as it seems in 80/20. unfortunately my 20 seems to get pretty exciting in sand and rock...I think I'm ready to upgrade and put the tourances up for sale/trade.

I would mount up some tkc80's. They will only last 4000 miles, but it's only money.

But you already knew what I'd do. ;)

Plus, the money save when we mount them here will make it less painful.

I use the OEM panniers for mine so I wouldn't know, but I'd give yamahasupertenere.com a try. I'm sure there will be a couple of people in there that could help you out.

191 is a blast from Clifton up to Eager. I would include that on my way up there or back.

191 is better northbound, climbing the winding hills, than south descending them.

Google the az back country discovery route, and just skip the cherry creek section which I don't think is in keeping with your intended fun settings. Empire ranch is too sandy for slicks too.

I like 191 southbound but I guess I'm a little different (just make sure the life insurance is paid up and current if heading south)! It's like 100 miles of the hitting the apex out of the corkscrew at Laguna Seca and dropping down the elevator, SWEET!
