made plans with the new lady type friend before i realized monday was a holiday! i will be riding a 1 horsepower horse monday. If i get killed by this horse rob, you can have the 606's in the loft.

sands ranch is north west of mustang corners(whetstone)... i figured to leave around 11 from my place(i will have coffee ready for arrivals as early as 10 for those who enjoy garage chat), which is over behind hastings. the area is good for rides as short as 3 hours, and while it isnt difficult stuff, the big GS wasnt fun out there becuase you arent going anywhere, but in a big circle and goofing off. i like to go out there and find little sections to ride "several times" like little hill climbs, or desert whoops...

from the rendezvous bar south to quail run, turn left, turn left again at woodcock, go to the back of the culdesac. look for motorcycles.

i'm still running the stock tank so i got about 75 miles before i have to refill.

Hi guys...another SV rider here. I've been a year without a thumper but fixed that yesterday. I got a DRZ400S and want to hook up with you guys to start riding. I plan to spend today and tomorrow getting to know her but starting next weekend I would like to hook up for a ride. I work M-F but taking a day off to ride isn't out of the question. I just need to plan ahead. -Roy

Jared (who i will tell you all can handle his DRZ in the rough well) and I popped out into Sands ranch for a quick spin.



Not alot of real interesting pics, but we did find a few places that I found suitable for dropping my bike. Jared was too slow with the camera to get pictures though.











Rob, I think we discussed turning right at this mineshaft once apon a time. We did so today.... after Jared poked around inside a bit...







We found a dead end… with a camp set up in the bottom of the draw. No vehicle, losta trash. And a guy that wandered out with a single action revolver half in and half out of a cross draw rig. the overall visual impression was "oh shit, it's DB Copper", Seemed nice enough, but it is somehow hard to relax around a guy living in the desert who likes your motorcycle. I normally carry a little .380 out there, but had not pocketed it today for no real reason. This guy had the drop on us anyway, had he wanted to(which he didnt).
