Hit up the Santa Ritas in ~2 weeks and I will probably be able to join. Or maybe it's 3...

Actually, that was taken before it fully developed, and the bruise isn't even close to the painful part. I hope, PRAY, that I never actually break ribs. mine are bruised and this is the worst downtime I've ever had. |

Dust to Glory
Watching Dust to Glory this weekend about the Baja 1000 race. Makes me miss the riding in Arizona. A definite must see movie for anyone that loves the dual sport.

How about next weekend? I'm thinking of a longer ride out east, Geronimo Trail and the Chiricahuas. Big bike friendly, about fifty/fifty street/dirt.

Lets make it Sunday then. If we start around 8:00 maybe we can miss the afternoon thunder showers.
I'm thinking meet at Gas City on Fry in SV, and head over to Douglas, GTR to Animas, Rodeo, Portal, lunch at the Portal store, then through the Chiricahuas and back south to Douglas via Leslie Canyon or over Middlemarch to Tombstone, Charleston and then home. If this sounds good, I'll also make a post on one of the Tucson threads.

Willcox to Alpine Big Bike Overnight
It's time to take the big bikes and camping gear out!
Who?: All comers with a street legal dual sport having a minimum fuel range of 150 miles. What?: A fantastic, scenic ride followed by an overnight camp near Alpine, AZ. When?: Saturday September 18th. Meet at 8 AM, stands up at 9. Where?: My house in Willcox, AZ. email kdap@netzero.net subject line "ride rsvp" for directions as I am posting this ride in several locations. Why?: Because you'll regret missing this one. How?: The route will have a lot of pavement but will be scenic and interesting. I have replaced as much of the boring sections as possible with either dirt or more interesting slab. The pace will be medium to slow. There will be plenty of stops, so feel free to stop and take pictures without fear of being left behind. All riders should be completely self sufficient. Bring all your own food and drinks. We will have a support vehicle with several coolers to transport food and drinks only but nothing will be provided. Please label anything going in the coolers. Other than that, if it doesn't fit on your bike, it doesn't go. |

How do you guys feel about pre-ride breakfast? Maybe meet at the Bisbee Breakfast Club instead?
