Sup everyone...

I just joined the site and looking for a casual group for some local fun runs. I'm in Sierra Vista, work on post, and got about 1500 miles worth of riding exp (all on my KLR).

Casual is good. I went on one ride with a number of folks on this board and while I applaud their skills, bat out of hell is not my riding style...not to mention they are much better riders. A few of us spun off and ride dual sport rides taking in the environment and enjoying the scenery. Not baby soft but not bat out of he'll either...in line with our abilities. Let me know when you want to ride and I'll let you know when we plan to hit the trail.

Would anyone be interested in doing a ride around the Huachuca Mountains this weekend (24 or 25 September), maybe stop in Sonoita for lunch, and head home through Wheatstone?

Pending getting a new tail light installed on the XLR in time I'll be in. Planned route down over Montezuma pass, Parker Canyon Lake, Sonoita, Whetstone? Just got a new rear shoe installed on the bike last night and I'm going to do some carb work / desmogging as well so as long as everything turns out good I'm definitely up for a ride!

Newb question... is there any sort of organized SE Arizona ADV community, or is this a "secret handshake" kinda situation

? I've seen tons of ADV riders around Sierra Vista, and it would be a shame if we didn't get together every now and then for some fun runs.

I don't think we are organized enough to have a secret handshake. I would love to get out more, but just seem to be so busy these days. We need some motivation to get together. I have not been on a bike except to commute since my CDR ride in July.

There is a south east arizona trail riders (dualsport riders?) group. They don't post up much on here, they have their own site and don't like all the talk on the forum all the time.

Or maybe it was souther arizona trail riders? Anyway, they can be found through the googles.
