I went back the way we came and the BP were all over that dirt loop we took from Parker Canyon because they'd had some calls.

Then I got lost going home, everything looks different when you're not eating everyone's dust and going the opposite direction.

I got back here around 3:30.

Had a great time

On the other side of Naco the fence is more impressive.

Stopped and took a few on the way home.

Great Day - Great Ride

Couldn't ask for a better day. Here are some pics guys. Sorry no mad man behind the wheel minivan shots...no illegals...no crazy ATV riders...no bikes laying on the ground...

Let's do it again --soon!

If yall can come up with a good weekend we can do the Dragoon Mtn. loop from Benson. I checked out the beginning of the route on the way home...no more 1' of mud in the washes so it would be good to go. If any of you are into old mines there's the Escapule mine, Abril mine, and the Middlemarch mine. Some pretty neat stuff to check out if you want to do a bit of exploring. Let me know...I'm good for any weekend. Hows next Saturday work?

ETA: I need to air down next time. I came home and comfirmed a cold tire pressure this evening and I was running 28psi front and 26psi back. I have rim locks so I'm going to try going a lot lower next time. Should help with the "riding on ice" feeling I was having on that gravel and dirt.

I had an absolute blast, and thank you all for coming out!! We definitely should do this again soon, and maybe be able to get some others to come along as well. Unfortunately I won't be making it out to Benson next week if you guys decide to go. I'll be busy entertaining the in-laws.

LOL, I am just trying to catch up on my ride report, did the CDR in July. I have been doing stuff around the house all weekend, and we had company today. Next weekend is booked also, I am spending my time before I have it. Time debt sucks!

I'm out of town for the next three weeks so maybe when I get back.

This was the first time I've ever seen someone drop their bike and then get it back up on both wheels while still astride it.

Priceless.

I'll be busy helping Chris install the rear and front shocks on his KLR. I'm in before or after my Elk Hunt 3rd week of Oct.

Well I'm glad I decided until after last weekend to rejet the carb...even though the jets didn't show up until today. I also know why everyone says they hate working on carbs.... I broke the damn choke cable where it threads into the carb during reassembly and knowing Cochise motorsports they won't have one in stock. Something about not stocking common parts gets me but I have no choice but to wait for them. Should be a new bike when all is said and done. I guess I'll have to go get myself some oil and get that changed as well since I'm close to being due. If the bike is already down it'll be good timing for that. I should be ready to go by this weekend if anyone is up for a little riding.

Right now I'm on the dirty tangerine Monster S2R. Tomorrow I should be picking up an older R11GS... I think I saw AZ-Twin around lunchtime today.

And now I have a GS... not that it will stop me taking the monster down inappropriate roads
