Let's do something like this. http://g.co/maps/h6hvx We can meet at Cafe Ole at 8ish

I can do fire roads with washboard, but not bumpy rocky nonsense at dirtbike speeds. Somebody else has to lead on the pavement bits (Duc Monster is the ride, street are the tires; so no mud).

hmm... well it was probably just going to be me and you. I checked here at 7:30 since that's how long it takes me to get there... with no responses, I went back to bed.

We'll plan things a little further in advance next time.

I'll be at the other station at around 0815 on the big red pig.

On a side note...I may be adding a Duc Hyper 796 to the stable next weekend, so I'll be up for any road rides you guys plan as well.

A perfect weather day.......

I did a great recon ride today. This 114 mile loop (29 assphault) will be my Saturday ride for DSDD. Not a lot of pics today, but the few I took are here.

Looking forward to DSDD, hope to see some of you guys out there I know, and meeting some new people and putting faces with forum names.

I have a couple of big bike friendly loops planned. They will come complete with historical commentary (at least as much as I know). I set these up before my 800 went into the shop (again). I'll be on the 525 but still doing the original loops. I'd like to do a more technical ride one of the days though. I was thinking Soren pass to the Abril mine (maybe spend some time exploring the mine) then China peak.

Any options to stop for fuel in that loop? I'm still stuck with the teacup stock tank so 110ish is about all I'm getting range wise...

Those miles were racked up port to port from St. David. The miles on Saturday could be more if we include the out and back portion of Jackson cabin. Also a lot less pavement.

I have a few half gallon containers you would be welcome to use.

Friday, looping around the Dragoons will be closer to 110 miles.

I'm in camp spot 4. It's a Sierra Sport with a white F350 in front of it. There's an orange "TRS" sticker on the back window. Feel free to stop by.

hmmm...bring a friend, bring gas if you got short range, bring a gun, and watch for mud. It's a fun ride!

So when are all of the locals here planning on heading out there? Friday is shot for me...unless it's to come sit by a fire and maybe do a night ride. Sat and Sun are open. Night rides should be fun...although a little chilly. We're up to darn near 100% illum with the full moon so that helps. Temps aren't going to be too bad either...looking like a low of 41* on Sat night into Sun morning and 76* on Sunday.
