Done that gardner canyon ride (on my KLR) from the other side by Vail.... my buddy crashed off the highway, hit a tree, and face planted. He lived and was okay.... but I REMEMBER that ride !!!

Hey twentyniner, I heard some guys talking about gardner canyon today... were you in "Saguaro" today? I was the tall guy that asked the counter about IMR...?

KRS

As for this ride... wish I had my KLR too

I've been wondering what kind of shape Montezuma is in. I'd heard form someone down in Patagonia last week that it was snowed so ended up not going over.
A buddy from work rode Montezuma pass and towards the border on the 1st, so it was good this past weekend.

Meet at The Diner on 92 at 8:00 A.M. for a pre-ride breakfast.

Take Montezuma Pass out to Sonoita. Fast dirt and gravel for this part.

From Sonoita we will head up to Gardiner Canyon where there is a loop of more technical jeep trails that I've ridden on the MTB but not the Moto.

If anyone is still in the mood to ride more after this, we can cross Hwy 83 and bang around the Cienegas a bit.

Lunch: Bring a sammich or a sanguich, your choice. We'll find a nice scenic spot and have a little picnic.

Who's in?
This sounds fun, but I have to do some work around the house I did not do last weekend, so count me out on this one. Don't we have another 3 day weekend coming up?

Hey guys, I am up in Tucson and know the Santa Ritas fairly well. Would like to meet you at the entrance road to Gardner Canyon on Sunday and ride with you a bit. The road is just South of the BP check point on 83.

Not sure of the turnout yet, or what time we'll get there exactly, but ten o'clock sounds about right.

Sunday Ride

So...Blackfxd is in and ClayCraig is a maybe pending a suspension re-build. Anyone else? Possible interest from some T-Town folks, so depending on that we could just head straight over to Sonoita for a meet up.

Another SV rider (Jeff) told me he's in too.

Cool. I guess we'll just keep the meet time and place as Sunday, 8:00 A.M. at The Diner and see who all shows up. We should be kickstands up by nine, and hitting Sonoita by ten if we take Montezuma and stay on 83 all the way up. Anyone from Tucson who wants in can meet us at the Gardiner Canyon Road entrance at around 10:00 A.M.

I'll pass on this one. I seem to have cracked a rib ,
and am still not getting around too well. But I'll stay subscribed and will definitely make another one in the future.
