Do they give snow days in the desert?

We got one of those, too. If there is significant snow (read 2 inches) on the pavement, they may close the county for the day (or until it melts). It's happened once while I was here.

I flew back here today and got a blizzard warning on my phone about an hour after I arrived! Not what I was hoping for, but the temps sure felt good today - it was 25F when I left Maine this morning and we still have a couple feet of snow on the ground there.

This is actually my second trip out here in the past month. I left ME on an R1100GS on January 19th and arrived in AZ eight days and 3,400 miles later after stopping in FL for three days to visit my other brother. I was here for a little over a week, but didn't have much time for riding, though I did take a couple short last minute rides. I spent a few days helping my brother with some things, did a complete service on the DR650, including steering stem bearings, and had a few other things to do to get ready for a trip to Baja with my wife.

I flew back to ME for a couple weeks and this time I brought my wife out with me for the first time. She's the reason for the GS - we're heading to Baja in a couple days after I get some new tires on it and take a little test ride to make sure we're all set.

We'll be flying back to ME on March 11th, but we'll probably be in Baja most of the time if all goes well. One of these days I'd love to get out for a ride with you guys again.

lightfighter - Can't thank you enough for showing me around the first time I came out here last year. That really helped me get off to a great start exploring southeast AZ. I've ridden through Montezuma Pass so many times since then I've lost count - still love it. And, I've been back to Gathering Grounds in Patagonia several times - love that place!

Did the Huachuca mtn loop yesterday over MTZ pass. Windy as all heck but a good time. Not a soul out there but two piggies on the road just over the pass. Anyone want to do some riding some time soon? If I don't start riding my XRL more often I'll probably end up selling it...

Brian, let me know where you end up with your settings, other than adding preload on the back, I haven't changed mine much from out of the box.
