Well I'll be OK w/it, but I'll let Dad check it out first before booking.

If he does not like it, I'll take him further south to Yokum's. Wanted to scout that place anyways.

He said "No Camping", so I'm respecting that.

A great weekend getaway for any couple is the Spread Eagle Tavern.

Awesome character, History, paranormal, great food and atmosphere. Plus just further south is Twistfest SE Ohio.

I have never let yins down yet, this place rocks. Just don't plan on getting this level for cheap.

What a ride home from work tonight. First it rains. No big deal. But my tires could be better. Then I can only assume a garbage truck lost its load in i81. The road was almost blocked with trash. Chairs and crates and all kinds of crap. Then a bunch of deer were standing on the exit ramp to 29. Crazy 30 minute ride home. Some nights it's like they are trying to get ya.

I have a vstrom question for team yellow and the other strom owners.
My bike has a pcIII USB. The last few nights I am finally banging the throttle to the stop to see what it can do. I have a track day weekend coming up and plan to control ride. So I will be rolling on the throttle hard. My bike seems to bog at 3/4 or higher throttle at any rpm.

My guess is that it either needs a fuel filter, air filter or the throttle needs to be rest on the PCIII. Or it's got some crazy fuel Eco map loaded. What do you guys think?

Mine never bogged, was really happy in the higher rpms, did not like to be chugging along at 2500-3500
I did not have the power commander

I know on my BM the air filter clogged with dust from following everyone in Snowmans end of town, hard throttle bog was my symptoms.

I will probably plug the PC in first and see what map and if the throttle position is right first then. Since that is free.

This is frustrating. I can't get the PC to recognize the PCIII. It just says unknown driver and thats it. Others have done this with Win7. Maybe its a MC running windows thing. Its frustrating. Maybe I will just ride the bike and take a break.

I still love my Klr. I have yet to steal a single part from it for the strom. I can't bring myself to do it.

I don't know what the mileage is on your bike Dennis, but I've heard the fuel filter sometimes gets dirty enough to restrict fuel flow once you get in the 50-60K mile range. The filter is part of the pump assy, but is able to be bypassed on the older models. I can't do that with mine so I removed it and cleaned it the best I could when I reached 60K or so. This pertains to the 650, not sure if the 1000 is the same.

BTW, the filter in mine is part of the regulator, just over 100 bucks, plus another 30 for the strainer.
