Going to pick up a wrangler on Friday and I figured I would ask here before equipment section. Any suggestions on aftermarket soft covers? It would have to be pretty air tight for winter driving. It's a 2002 TJ Sport.

I had a CJ-5 for many years. IMO the best soft tops are made by Bestop.

Check where the upper rear spring mounts are attatched to the frame. My brother had to replace his. I think they were like $100 a pair, but you got to drop the springs, grind the old ones off, and weld the new ones on.
also I notice your front fenders have rust in the exact spot his does.

My buddy used to worship these things. he said if you have wet carpet, its water coming in the vent in front of the windshield. As far as a good top, I can't help you. Buddy used to put a hard top on his every winter.
We used to have some of these for snow plowing. the drivers were always cold.

I'm not to worried about being cold, it's a 7 minute drive to work. The heater in my truck isn't even blowing warm air at that point

Bestop has rave reviews, so does renegade. They are so many options between materials, thickness, connectivity and stretch it's hard to tell what's what. My criteria is that it has to keep moisture and wind out. I plan on picking up a second hand hard top in the spring when the prices come back down.

I will most days but same day's a vehicle is required. The cold doesn't bother me really but the road conditions can be pretty iffy around here, especially since I don't leave work til 4am. I know wrangler's aren't the best choice for winter driving but I've always wanted one
