Thanks but nothing special, just glad to be able to get outside and ride on December 22nd.

Now if I lived in PA like the other guys I would also have jumped on my moto.

I like this picture Dennis.

But that wouldn't of burned a half a day's calories. You're doing just fine.

You inspire, or should I say make me feel bad for not doing what I should.

Keep up the good work.

Great day out on two wheels with the kids. No street riding, but we tore up the trails today! We were riding for about six hours. On account of snow and slush in many parts, there were a lot of spills today, but nobody got hurt. Gotta love a near 70 degree day on the first full day of winter!

Hobo lunch with three cans of spaghetti cooked over a fire.

The kids are too quick about picking their bikes up. They just don't appreciate taking the time to get a picture! lol

All was going well until my bike died. It was running beautifully all day, then it suddenly backfired, sputtered, and died. I worked myself into quite a sweat trying get it started, but to no avail. Turned over fine, no strange noises when kick starting it, and it had compression (based on air from exhaust when kicking). I couldn't get it started and couldn't figure out what was wrong. It was way too far out in the woods to push it, so I had to hide it. Good thing it already had OD green plastics!

I had to commandeer my oldest son's CRF80 and ride that back with him as my passenger. Tomorrow I'm going to hike back with a backpack full of tools and hopefully get it running. If I don't, I'll have to figure something out. It's way back there, and my subaru with trailer definitely won't make it there, and I'd question a pickup making it there (and still having any paint left on the sides of the truck anyhow).

Thanks Dan. That is my favorite from today too. I should of shot it in Video too. The ice was flowing pretty fast and the fog moved with it. It was real pretty.

Take a fresh Spark plug [gapped] and new fuel filter w/you. A can of Ether couldnt hurt. Don't overdo it w/the ether though. Just enough to prove its fuel your not getting or to blast carb jets with.

Compression
Fuel
Spark

You said the comp was good.............

How about battery connections.......... no primary ignition if the circuit is open.

Water in the float bowl?
Clogged vent hose is there a vacuum in the tank?

So many times it's the pri ign path to ground....

think clutch, kickstand, neautral switch. bring some wire n means to make jumper wires.

Keep us posted.

The North Road is another option. It runs northwest from Chibougamau and T's into the JBR a little less than halfway up to Radsison.

Did you think the roads and scenery became monotonous up there?
The roads were not monotonous, but the scenery can be. It is wall to wall trees in many parts.
We went up an access road to a microwave tower to actually get a view of the land.

The road is not flat or straight. Lots of long sweeping turns. No traffic.

Awesome pics Max. Your boys will be bragging to their friends about that experience.

Good luck with your bike. File a warranty claim!
