Narrowed it down pretty good

Overall the weather is pretty good out there and the wild horse and big horn sheep green USFS & White BLM trucks will be plentiful.

I am making a list so the riders can call any of us for help and so support can call each other

this list will have
all of the riders cells phone #'s
all support cells phone #'s
all Sat phone #'s
and the phone #'s of whatever phone the 2 or more home based monitors will be at (only support crews will have these #'s)

each rider will carry a copy
each support will have a copy
and the home based monitors will have a copy

No one will be having any problems whatsoever so these #'s will mostly be used by support to let the other support teams know that everyone has cleared their checkpoints and to pick up more ice

QUICK and SIMPLE
just PM me your Name and #

Sorry airborndad, I saw about a half hour later that you were saying you needed one last rider's info. I just got excited about the potential for riding this awesome ride and wanted to see if it was even in the realm of reality.

It's not gonna happen for me this year but I will definitely be watching for next year's thread.

I wouldn't believe those weather reports. It said it would be over 105 in the Vegas area yesterday and it never got over 100, probably more like 95 around the Valley of Fire area. At 5:30pm in the pass beween highway 95 and Primm (where I saw about 20 Bighorns) it was actually a little chilly

Change of plans for me.

After riding almost 2500 miles in less than a week, I have come to a few conclusions. My bike is suffering, I might have refractured my right tibial plateau from a broken a leg a few years back (my right knee is the size of a cantaloupe right now, Jim know what I mean), and I really want to make sure this is a success for everyone and as much as possible, everyone finishes and has fun.

So, I have no time to go over my bike and replace the tires, fix the leaking oil reservoir and replace the busted tail light and replace all of the toasted wiring from a major short that happened on thursday. It has also come to attention that I need about 1" more of riser under the bars (my back is telling me this) and my pegs need to be replaced with larger ones (my arches are telling me this).

I have pretty much ridden this whole course in the last week, plus an extra two or three hundred miles finalizing the layout and looking for alternate or better sections, so I'm not feeling as though I must ride this.

So, I will be going on this in a support role only. Since I know this whole course, literally forward and backward, this only makes sense. I will work with the support people to make sure that everyone is where they need to be when they need to be there, to make sure that anyone who needs help gets it and last, to make sure that everyone is hydrated and well fed.

So let's get this thing on!

So can anyone tell me how to add maps, that didn't come preloaded on the GPS, on to it? do ya copy the files direct from disk to the mem card or do ya use mapsource? if direct, what files to transfer.

tnx
