Here's the Skinny!

Pork ribs, beek brisket, beans and salad for dinner with beers and .........

Woke up at 0500 to get ready for start.

Sent support down the hill at 0545

Support manned checkpoints and watched for vehicles which allowed bikes to sail over road crossing at mach speed. It was crazy!

Day was Fuckin killer! 0630 start from ???? Everyone got off good and fast. Most riders were up in the Escape Route by 1000.

It never got over 104f, but it was a dry heat

Javier (a flat), Razr (toasted his clutch in Pahrump), Yzlvr, Hilslamer, Dirty Duane, Rev Kiecker, Crawdaddy (flats and tools garage sale), Baja Joe, Megan led much of the day.

It gave me chills down my spine to see this happen and watch dust trails for miles in the deserts and passes.

17yr old wonder boy from New Mexico, Garrett was flying like you've never seen on his 690 only to have mechanical problems.

Tim Hilslamer from Arizona rode a 990 in a way that even Brent would be proud of, always in the top 6.

Quite a few flats today (I warned you). Javier, Brent, Patric (4 flats), Megan and many others.

Garmin ZUMO's suck! Everyone had ran one had navigational issues.

I have to say that a man most here have never heard of, Henrik, from Austria dominated the day. He was smooth, flawless, had no flats and no mechanical issues with his XR650R.

Top Finishers today after 380 miles:
  1. Henrik
  2. Tim Hilslamer
  3. ???????
  4. Rev Kiecker
Much more tomorrow after the finish in ???????

Will post pics and video.

Yep!

Riding a 990A like it's a 525.

Smooth and fast as shit!

Where the Fuck are you?

And yes we're drunk. At least support is. After 380 miles, the riders are out cold after a killer mexi food grind and few cervezas.

But I'll be ringing their bells at 0500

This guy ROCKS!

He heard this event was coming through town and offered to put us up at his house and loaned us his bar, house, front porch, lawn for tech/computer work and made drinks for us while we worked.

I can't say enough about his generosity and old school kindness to help all of us loonies out. If you're ever in Moapa, look him up and have abeer with him.

Ive rode with Javier and some of the others. Javier is what i would call a sleeper. The guy can ride. Good luck to every one ride hard and safe.

Oh yeah and Javier can fix just about any thing on a KTM cause they break some times . (I have a KTM 450 too fellas just a joke)
