spot, getting text, and phone calls. everytime someone is missing, they call me and ask for the person's location which i see on my computer screen.

eye on the sky, just 10 minutes or so behind.

the support crew...our boyz...keith, ben, tim, jim and eric are doing an outstanding job! haven't lost any riders yet....


there are a few i don't see...the puckers may have lost their spot device, too cheap to put a new battery, or simply want to be stelthy....

I have parts to fix the GS arriving in Vegas today about 11am but need a way to get them up to Brian Head to get the bike running for tomorrow (BMW will not drop ship anywhere but their dealers) . Anyone know of someone who might be help out?

Warm Springs Mine, after refreshing myself at the spring. My wife says I look like shit. She should have seen me before....





On the latter half of day 1, I spent a lot of time alone.





50-ish miles from the end of day 1, and the Tubliss inner bladder failed. Haven't figured out why yet.





Yes, it's a dualsport ride. Amazingly, after a few miles of asphalt, I start begging for more sand and rocks to get my ass out of the seat. I can only stand so long at 65-mph...




The views at the end of day 2 were well worth the effort to get here.




This has been quite an adventure for all involved. Stories of woe and victory, pleasure and pain. I'll never forget this one. Time to go change tires and wheels.

Well after a month of laying this course out and over 3000 miles of solo riding in the wilds of Cali, Nevada, Arizona and Utah a few things kept me from actually riding:

1. The puddle of oil on the garage floor that was getting larger after every course lay out run was not going to fix itself. And, I had no spare time.
2. Last Friday night when I rolled in at 2:30 and had to ice down my cantaloupe sized knee, I discovered that I most likely refractured my tibial plateau breakage from a few years back.
3. As much of this as I saw from the trail perspective, I wanted actually be a spectator and watch it unfold.
4. I thought that since a lot of people paid money to do this, it was important to be sure that the support was effective, the food was good, the accomodations were comfortable and the alcohol was flowing.
