I am IN for support.

I can do a checkpoint anywhere near Vegas.
But I would prefer to load my bike up with better med supplies, spare tubes, coolant, oil, and tools and ride Sweep.

I have some pretty extensive Mechanic experience and was a medic in the army, so I can provide some decent first responder if needed.

I would be on my Beast, '82 GL500gs-pd.

Or i can do just about anything else you want.

i've got the route planned on the first day from Spangler to Pahrump.

How about any knowledge on routes from Pahrump to Glendale/Moapa area preferable to the North of the 15?

Yep,
But idea is to be the first there and other than any teams that sign up, this is you against the wilderness and everyone else, your fuel planning ability and your fatigue factor.

I'm up in the air. The 660 super tanker would be an obvious choice (is it an advantage if I don't have to stop for fuel at all?!) but I may ride my 950Adv. if my partner Trick17 rides his just so we are on like machines.

We are 2 of the dumb types who will ride these things anywhere.

Yes, if you plan on drinking it along the way .

Otherwise, the support vehicles will have plenty of beer for post ride partying

A question on speed... are you setting this up that one will have to really be moving to get into camp before dark? Or do you see the fastest riders getting into camp a few hours before dark?

Aaron,

I'm shooting to have everyone who rides at a good clip with no unnecessary stops to be incamp before dark.

Everyone needs to be aware of their ability to ride fast, safely.

This is definitely not a stop and take pictures event though.

And, most importantly, everyone needs to realize that if they are sluggin along at a snails pace, they will be holding up the sweep vehicles and will have the last pick of the food when they get to camp

Ok... I am down with that. For me it is more of a time-away-from-work issue, not a do-I-want-to-do-it issue.

You may also want to add a footnote that after a day (or two?) if a rider(s) is (are) really holding things up they could be asked to reconsider their participation.
