Most definitely. Jim and I discussed that last night over a few beers.

There will be a maximum time limit for each leg. If a rider fails to make that limit, they will be asked to become support. We want to make sure that everyone has the ability to have a good time and enjoy the festivities along the way. If we have too many slugs, support people will be spending too much time herding cats.

There will be a minimum average mph suggested for each leg that will never be less than 33mph.

Team # 1 !!!

I'll be on an 09 990 with Todd Stanford suspension!!! That said I am OFFICIALY looking to form my team !!

Me - Raced bicycles for a living for 19 years including team ultra distance mountain events.
- Was an artillary surveyer in the Army so I can read a map and plot coords with just a compass at night with sunglasses on.
- Raced desert Mc's with the 100s for 3 years as well.
- Got yelled at on the last 2 Malcom Smith events for going "TOO FAST"...true story.
- Can change a flat in good time!

I would really like to form a team of riders from within this ADV rider group as opposed to bringing "ringers" from outside. PM me with your POLITICAL AFFILIATION idea for a TEAM NAME if your interested. I already have some good ideas on what could make the team a bit quicker and more efficiant. The sooner the better. We got some work to do !!

Up to 3 and a half push ups!!

Yep, thats' why we're taking day 3 off for R&R.

The first day from Spangler to Moapa/Glendale is all pretty fast two-track, forestry style roads, with some sand. With a few gas stops along the way, this leg is about 260 miles

Would it be too much to suggest that at least one member of each team be CPR certified?

Could be suggested, but shouldn't be a rule, as quite a few riders, including myself will be doing it solo "Iron-man" style.

I would say that accepting the last guy on the trail, riders will be no more than 15 minutes apart.

I have been CPR certified for years, but not currently.
I could add it if you want, but it hasn't changed all that much.

I even have a couple of those "mouth guard" things.

How about any knowledge on routes from Pahrump to Glendale/Moapa area preferable to the North of the 15?
Well I haven't been down that way, over even more than a mile from my house actually. only off roader I got right now is my Nephews '72 SL125.
while I can Make it go almost anywhere, at 265# i don't want to break it. lol.

I could do some preview-rides for you in late March or early April on the DT175 and the Beast if it is done by then.

I can also get some local feedback from some riders I know here and plot out some good stuff with the NV road and rec atlas.
(sits next to the couch.)

One cool thing to consider would be to come into Red Rock NP from the Back side. there is a dirt road you can find on google maps that shows the way. and it is Free when taken that way. not to sure about the best way to Off road it from there. would be at least 5 miles of pavement, but it would pas a gas station, so...
I'll put that on the list to figure out too.

Maybe a run up through the gap toward Mt Charleston after Red Rock... *thinks*

Ok I think i have an idea or three
I'll get back to you later once i map them out.
