Sounds like fun times Bro. I had a couple of whiskeys for you last night. Mmmmmmm, whiskey. Keep up the MacGuyverisms, I bet you could join the two bikes together and make a dune buggy when you hit the sand in Africa.

Been in Malaga for ages now
Was supposed to be two nights here... First we were waiting for tires. Then we decided not to risk travelling on my passport which expires at the end of 2010 (so sent off for a new one). Also, we had to wait for me to get over a dose of gastroenteritis.
I've been ill for days and slowly getting better, but I still woke up Simon this morning with thundering flatulence and diarrhoea like a waterfall. oh dear. Not quiet the smell of Napalm in the morning, but feels like is on fire anyway.
been having fun anyway though dont.crash.it screwed with this post 01-09-2010 at 04:00 PM |

Immodium = day on the bikes...
Up around the mountains, WOOHOO. Fantastic roads, bend after bend after bend. Also, can head off the pavement pretty much whenever you fancy and down some rough tracks. Awesome
Our host and guide, the Spanish Fonzie on his Honda Dominator (Haaaye)
Sights along one of the tracks
For the amateur trackers among you, a Sahara 3 shod KTM adv indeed had done a u-turn. Sight of first river crossing just out of shot, maybe a foot or so deep?
Si taking a break
The Beasts!
And down to the beach at the end of the day

had yet another go at my side stand today. Think as the bolt came loose/snapped, the leg of the stand had bent... and it was rubbish to begin with (a side stand should stay down when put down, and stay up when put up).
Heated up the leg of the stand on the petrol stove (without the bracket) and thumped holy shit out of it,.... and by jove I think I "cracked it" (that is fixed it). Sweet, the bike stands up straighter and the stand stays down now. dont.crash.it screwed with this post 01-11-2010 at 01:05 PM |

The state of my beard
For most of my life, I've denied all body hair travel visas to my face. Recently I've experimented with more relaxed border controls with various results. Settlements were quickly established on the area of the upper lip, the tropics of the sideburns and the southern slopes of the chin. Thriving populations are in all these areas now.
The inhabitants of the moustache have been slow to reach out to their southern cousins at the corners of the mouth. However, trade routes have been established, roads built and unsettled lands populated. Very good I have to say there are a few different ethnic groups amongst the hairs living on my face. The indigenous population are a dark swarthy lot, and mostly welcome the greys that have come to live amongst them. A happy population really, readily mixing with the scalp hair of the upper side burn. There are a few interlopers however, or perhaps far flung travellers? They are the gingers - randomly disbursed and isolated, they are pariahs of their neighbourhoods. If a follicle gets infected, a ginger gets blamed. These poor hairs must dream of living in the ginger paradise that is Simon's goatie. hur hur |

Have you been smoking the funny stuff in that hostel?
It's either that or the dehydration you have suffered from your unfortunate encounter with a kebab that has you talking in metaphors!! Either way, I think I am scared for your sanity, are you suffering from cabin fever in Malaga? Don't stop though, keeps me entertained. I think that perhaps I have the same symptoms... try spending over 12 hours cooped up in an attic! I think I will stop here..... cool photos btw...
