The Saga Continues

So there's this crater out on the Eglin reservation, not too far east of Hwy 87. Don't know the story behind it, but Mug showed it to us first so we call it "Mug's Crater." A good place to watch the sunset or act like a crazed gazoonie, whichever you prefer. I like a little of both:

Introducing Rob, George, and Robin to the crater:

Coming back from the crater one Saturday afternoon, we got caught in a hellacious downpour. The mudholes turned into ponds. Time to go swimming.

Mug's bike went swimming, and didn't like it. Here's the Official Patented Mugwest Exhaust Moisture Purging Process (OPMEMPP), and it works like a champ.

And then there was PreFest. Things got a little crazy.

Especially after the Georgia Squirrels showed up with Voodoo Juice.

Count Fucksticula made an appearance:

And so did this guy, who apparently thought Beck's beer and trials bikes went together like peas & carrots:

A few too many Beck's beers later:

Proof that riding did in fact occur during this event:

Jerry tellin' Art like it is.

Mini kept his gear on, ready to go in case somebody tried to pull the ol' 15 minutes routine again. Can't fool ya twice, right, Mini?

Alicia got to try out Robin's DR200. "Lessee here--2 up and 5 down, right?" Kevin meanwhile prays for mercy on Alicia's soul.

Ever seen anybody try to mount a 17-in. tire on an 18-in. rim? It just doesn't work, no matter how hard you try:

Kevin pulled out all the culinary stops once again, and we ate like kings. Eloy took a turn at the grill:

All the Squirrels became better riders because of PreFest. Mission accomplished.

Not too long after PreFest, we made a discovery out at Eglin. HUEYS!!

The Hueys are now a mandatory stop during every Eglin run east of Hwy 87:

DON'T WORRY, THERE'S MORE

What a treat to come home to. Good work Tony.

I always figgered we were cut from the same cloth: it was somewhere on the road yesterday or today, in GA or FL, that i thought it would be cool to do a 2009 Year In Review.

Lots of good riding and gathering w/ you folks this year. I'm sure grateful for it all.

Best wishes to all for a great holiday and New Year

I'd steal this idea for the Sand Fleas thread, but I didn't take any damn pictures in 2009. Resolved: More pics in 2010. Great job Tony.

Floatie Dude

You damn sure saved his ass Tony. When I went past floatie,,,he hollered at me
"How do you get out of here?"
I barely slowed down and hollered back:
"I don't know,,,, I'm lost too"
Kept followin the tracks and soon rode up on the other riders. In a little while, here comes Inept with Floatie Dude ridin bitch. We made fun of Floatie for a while, then Inept toted him away on his DRZ. Here's a video I made of the departure. Toward the end of the video, JP almost nails the concrete picnic table with his XR. Nice save JP!

+1 on the Christmas wishes to my ADV family. I'm grateful to be a part of this whole ADV phenomenon.

And Scribe, thanks for the kind words, glad yer enjoying the pics. But my Policy of Full Disclosure requires me to disclose the fact that 99% of the pics posted aren't even mine, they were stolen shamelessly from the various threads we've posted throughout the year. I didn't even bother to ask permission to use them, because I know all the guys who actually did take the pics, and they're the kinda people who would be glad to see their work used in a compilation like this.

And Rob and forrest, I'm enjoying the pics y'all just posted as well. Hadn't seen many of those pics before, good stuff.
