the Icelandic volcano is definetly effect you weather for the next year. Going to be colder than normal. Now they say the bigger volcano may blow soon. If that happens. Its going to get REALLY cold everyone in the northern climes. Last time both those volcanos went off in one year. The US didnt have a summer. I think it was 1789.

Just finished reading the RR from start to finish

Thanks for bringing me back to the "old country" It's inspirational. Good luck with fixing the bike.

Thanks

If anyone cares;
Bike's back together and running again. Had to skim the cylinder head 0,25mm to make it level. Still enough room for the valves in there and the slightly higher compression doesn't seem to matter. Only put about 170km on it so far... the last headgasket lasted 450km - hoping this one will go for a few years. Crossing fingers

Since I live fairly close to Oslo (55 km) it's never been something I've considered. There are a few camping sites and carvan parks.

I'm sure you're aware of the Norwegian wilderness laws; no offroading. I mean no offroading, unless you have deeeeep pockets and don't mind spending a few nights in jail
The same laws though state that anyone can camp pretty much anywhere they like. Stay away from cultivated fields, gardens and city parks you'll be fine.

Welcome to Norway !

WOW. I mean really,.......WOW.

Norway is a truly beautiful place. I often wonder if the locals pay no mind to the beauty around them, or do they get up in the morning thinking" holy shit, look at that!"
My wife and both my kids looked at every single picture with me.
Now she wants me to find out what a trip to Norway would cost. Probably cheaper, and easier, to rent something than ship my own bike. Just stunning
Also, looks and reads exactly like a ride report should.
As far as the women are concerned, if they are anything like some of the other Nordic women I've met, WOW doesn't even come close.
Keep posting, great job.
