Working
I am working down the list of stands. I am making arrangements for components to be fabricated for me so that I can make more stands in less time. The weather has been nice and hot here and I am enjoying goofing off this summer. I will get more done this winter when it is freezing outside.
I have heard rumors that one of the bigger guys will be adding centerstands to their product line soon. Hopefully it will be a good product and well received. Mike

Transalp Center Stand
Mike: Please put me down for one, although, personally, I would prefer the "assistant" to be on the left side of the motorcycle, just like my other bikes.
But, either way, let me know when the 1989 HOnda Transalp's are available, I definitely want one!! - chuck in Indianapolis Dont forget about the Transalp Rally in Deals Gap, October 11-14, 2012!!!! ![]() chuckannette1@msn.com

I have found a shop that will make parts for me which should help production in the future. I will admit that I have not worked as much this summer as last. I have been enjoying more recreation this summer than previous years. There has been a lot of interest in all the models this year, which has made it hard to keep up. This hobby has really turned into something bigger than expected. I did not expect it to be a world wide market. Because of ADV and the WWW the word has spread about the stands. I plan on concentrating on the TA this winter. Cheers, Mike

Too Old and Too Slow
Sorry guys, but I must be getting old. I have injured myself and have not yet recovered enough to make stands. I have been off for almost a month. The knee is getting better and I should be able to stand on it soon. We will have our first snow soon and as the weather gets colder I will be spending more time building stands.
Don't feel bad for me. Not having to go to work is not a bad thing. I am catching up on a lot of reading and I am having a very nice time being a bum. Cheers, Mike

We are supposed to get about 2" on the grassy areas Friday/Saturday. It won't be here long though. It will be the first snow of the year for us flatlanders.
I know that I am getting old when I can't remember how I hurt it. Mike

The snow and cold weather really makes building the stands fun. I get real nervous having nothing to do. I enjoy doing it a lot more when it is cold outside. The weather here this year has been very warm. When the season changes it seems to do it overnight. It was 85F one day and 53F the next. it is in the 30s now with snow in the forecast. But it is still early and should be back in the 70s soon. Being raised in Southern California the change of seasons is new but very welcome. I love Colorado weather.
I could bend my knee this morning and it is finally getting better. I am happy since I am getting anxious to get back to fabricating. Mike

Mr Mike
Do your stands for the xr600 also fit the xl600?

No, the frames are not exactly the same. I was looking into making one for that model but could ot get the info to do it. It is not likely that I will add any new models in the near future.
Mike

Hi Mike, I'd like to order one of your fine center stands for my 05 XR650L. How do I complete the order process?
