So who is heading south in 2010?

I'm seeing a lot of threads asking for the 411 (mine included), so who's heading down to Ushuaia and beyond?

I might...

I'm about 50/50 at the moment. I just don't know if I'll have the funds saved up. If I do I'll be heading out in the fall.

If any assistance needed in Rio de Janeiro, let me know.

I plan to go to Punta Del Este _ Uruguay this year but probably only Dec 2010.
Before that I am heading Jericoacoara-Ceara - Brazil and Bonito Mato grosso do Sul (MS) - Brazil.

It's good to hear there are some plans in the works.

I haven't pulled the trigger yet but hope to head out by the end of summer.

I'm in the same boat. As long as everything proceeds according to plan I should be giving notice in a couple of weeks. Depending on how things play out from there I hope to be on a road heading south sometime around Mar 1...I'm not headed all the way through S. America though, I'll probably hit Panama and turn around. Now I just need to get another bike...

I am looking at it for 2011. I hope by that time I can finagle 3-4 months unpaid leave from work and learn Spanish. Will do some short trips in 2010 to prepare.

I plan to leave Reno Nevada on Feb 10th-11th and need to be in Guatemala City on Feb 20th. I plan to do the first 1000 miles in a couple days and then slow down once i get into Mexico and then avg atleast 300 miles a day. Then a slow trip home.

If anyone is interested in some of that, let me know. I'll be riding a 990,

I'm taking the plunge..... NY to Tierra del Fuego via Deadhorse, AK on my KLR. The plan is to leave in mid August, tag Deadhorse and head south for 6 months.
