More Arches National Park

Dyno-rock.

2 Hearts together.

Delicate Arch

This arch is very large.
There are at least 4 people in this picture can you even see them?

Arches was Incredible. It got dark b4 I could see everything.
I wanted to go back & got up b4 dark next morning to catch the missed & also probably best area as the sun came up. As I was on my way it was totally cloudy & then started to rain just b4 I got there. Bummer! I turned around & raced back to camp, where it was not yet raining, quickly packed up,& headed south toward Monument Valley.

Another Lunch with a view. Muley Point. Southeastern Utah. From the top you can see Monument Valley, Goosenecks, and the Valley of the Gods. Incredible vista point. & amazingly quiet even though it wa at the top af a major platau. Pulled up & there was a woman sitting in a chair looking out. Spoke with her briefly & asked her how long she had been sitting there? She says"Two days. But I've got up a number of times". She was in a mesmerised state. Said she had been there 2 years ago & it had struck her as the quietest most awsome place she had ever been. Wow. & she planned to stay there for another 2 days. OK!

Rode the Moki Dugway, a graded dirt switchback road that is carved into the face of the cliff edge of Cedar Mesa

Yeee! Please don't fall.

Whoh! Glad I stopped to take a picture.

Heading South, North, South, North, South... Love those swithbacks! They go like this

Ya look like ya been there a while!

I don't see no road going up that cliff!

Love that bit of road
I saw a picture of the Moki Dugway last year and it was an immediate "I gotta do that". Ya!

Monument Valley

Well I missed the turnoff for the main touring area of Monument Valley & now it was starting to get dark. Also realized I had missed the Valley of the Gods so I decided to do a loop & get a motel closer so I could be there for early morning with the sunrise, ideal for pictures.
I was really discovering how awsome the pictures can be at sunset & sunrise. What do you think of these?

John Ford is the producer that did many of the John Wayne movies in Monument Valley

There were constantly people out there for pictures.

For a moment nobody was out there. I asked one of the Navajo if I could ride out there on my Steel Horse & have him take my picture. $5

Saw this cool lookin dude on a real horse checkin me out on my steel horse as I was riding away.

I had a feeling he was wishing he had Steel Horse.

The Mittens.

Navajo Jason. He had a table selling beautifully hand made Navajo Jewelry made by his wife & him. I bought a piece for my wife.
When we got this picture I asked him if he had E-mail. His response was "we don't even electricity". Ooo!

Found a great place to setup camp.

My tent in view from another angle, can be seen on the left.

Can you see my tent?

Cool2

Went back out later in the afternoon & did the loop again closer to sunset. Interesting how much better the pictures can be when the sun is lower.
I was surprised that all day I saw no other motorcycles. I asked one of the Navahoe about that & he said nobody takes their motorcycle out there, it's too rough & too sandy, anybody who tries it turns around. Wow! It is true it's rough & sandy but I really didn't have much of a problem riding it, even fully loaded.

Well things look real cool back at camp now with the sun going down & the moon up.

So Cool here!

Definitely! I really like the maintenance and seeing what tools and spares you're carrying. All this fun comes with a price tag.

I'd also like to here about stuff you thought was neat and never really worked or things you're in love with.

What kind of tent have you got there?
