Hey Ronnie.
Putting the knobbies on it made all the difference for the sand. It handled it surprisingly well. You just had to keep the momemtum up & hang on!

Cool2

Met TIm Morton of "Baja bound" at breakfast. Really nice & helpful guy. Said to say hello to Cecile, Kenny, & Darryl.
Packed up & headed south to Gonzaga bay. Beautiful!

Love them Pelicans. They make me think of a Teradactyl. Cool!

We stayed at the infamous Alfonsinas. Very nice!

We had met fellow ADVers Manu (on left) from Italy & Edo from Holland (middle) 2 nites before in San Filipe & met up with them again here. They currently
live in New York city & had been on the road from there for the last 4 weeks. Manu was to head back from San Diego next week & Edo was to continue riding
down to Central America & Panama. Cool! Sounds like a plan!

I want to hear about that Central America trip Edo.

We're headin south again. Bay of LA.

We head south.

Coco`s corner. Coco.

Yup I came all the way from Canada eh!

Gonzaga Bay has a nice Pemex gas station. Too bad they never seem to have gas.
Great you can usually count on some other local gas vendors. Hopefully!!!
In Baja never count on a gas station actually having gas & you gas up whenever you can.

Took a photo break for some pics of the gorgeous terain off Mex 1 heading for the turn off to the Bay of LA.

Well we decided to pass thru Bay of LA & head for San Francisquito. We rode the last hour & half in the dark.
Wasn't much light nor really much of anything else to be seen in San Francisquito. Well not at the time we arrived at least.
We did enjoy a few Tecates and had a phenominal Lobster dinner, the lobster was huge & delicious!.

Interesting coming into a place you know is beautiful but you arrive in the dark. Great anticipation for the morning but makes it tough to sleep.

Keep this one going, 'cause it's keeping the itch scratched just enough to keep me home working, where any sane person would clearly agree I need to be right now

Here is what I woke up to.

Our accomodation. My side did not even have a widow covering. I could feel the odd blast of cool air thru the nite. Then got up with the sun as you can see.

The official resort "Greeter" Friendly girl.

So we had breakfast are are heading for Gerrero Negro & hopefully a Bank. We're low on cash, as most places do not accept credit cards including the gas stations. We had to buy something at a grocery store in Bay of LA just so we could use a debit card & get Cash Back. Cost $10 however to get $90. A 10% fee. Wadda ya gonna do!!!
Well we hadn't gone too far before I got another flat. I had already had one yesterday just before getting to Bay of LA. My front rim has some serious dents. I had unfortunately aired the tire down too low trying to smooth out the stutter bumps part of which I guess were also embedded rocks. Ouch! Yesterday I had to take a rock to the rim to get it in shape enough to hold the air. It's back up & hopefully will hold.

Tall tails out of Baja.

The road was very sand & you had to keep yor speed up.

Some beautiful terrain. So many beautiful views riding in Baja.

Almost magical isn't it?

Almost magical isn't it?

Well we got to Gerrero Negro & the bank. The ATM wouldn't accept any of my cards & this was sunday. Mike was able to get a limited amount from one of his cards & couldn't remember his pin on his other card . Well hopefully it will carry us for a bit & we will look to stay somewhere that takes credit cards.
