If you look closely near the yellow sign you can spot my brother trying to put on his rain gear... he was rather drenched by the time he got everything on.

Seeking temporary shelter inside a car wash bay... but after a certain point you just can't get anymore wet than you already are.

Last day of the ride - Cynthiana, Kentucky

We found temporary shelter for the whole gang at an abandoned bank (can't remember the town). Picnic table was a bonus! Break out the mobile devices and check that storm track...

Just stumbled across a couple of "riding in the rain" pics from Sumatra.... this time last year. This was on the ride up to the first town after crossing from Java on the ferry. Got a bit gnarly

Speaking of gnarly.... I rode from Berastagi down to Bukit Lawang in Sumatra, and went the back way... through the National Park. I dropped 5,000 feet in about 12 miles.... and it bucketed down on me. This was the "road". I had a white screen on the GPS, there was no-one else on the road for 90 minutes... which is a pretty rare event in Asia and I was thinking I'd be sleeping on the rocks.

I'd given up carrying wet weather gear by then. It was warm enough in the rain. I should point out... that's rather steep there, although it doesn't really show. The road was "paved" with those river rocks the whole descent... to stop it washing away. Some of them quite large. I'm 6'6" and I couldn't touch ground a lot of the time if the wheels weren't lined up right among the rocks. btw... its a tiger reserve. Didn't particularly want to sleep in there.... and it was getting very dark. Arrived at Bukit Lawang in the dark, still wet

This was an old pic of us back in 06 ~We rode in heavy rain for 500 miles that day heading to Mt.Home Ar...
Yes we really did look like drowned road rats.. But we love to ride ...

Once again we had been out riding in Co. This time rain for 600 miles.
As well as a little sleet...On Monarch pass and wolfcreek

This Shot was at Bishops Castle from the same day...
Once again drown rats...

Chivalry is not dead...

The guys wanted me not to get my feet wet

Very attractive picture because of the streaks of rain drops, as in Japanese wood cuts. Very nice for sure.
