Joel,
The big girl is still sitting in the garage FD'less awaiting parts....

Looks like I'll miss out on this one.

Have a great ride all,

Cheers,

their website i was told is old and outdated!

i was just trying to simplify things and bringing income to ojai. anyone can order whatever they want, but you (yourself) have to call in advance as recommended by the manager with the promise to get us out of deer lodge in 1.5 hours.
Thanks for clarifying Joel. I just put the number in my phone. I will call sometime after 8 on Saturday and order up some protein. As great as French Toast and Coffee sounds, I don't want anything that's going to cause me to 'crash' an hour and a half down the road.

Thanks Joel

Thank you very much for taking the time to do all this Joel.
Lately my time is limited to ride and the ease of this is greatly appreciated!

I'll have scrambled eggs/ bacon and wheat toast.
I promise to tip you at least 30% !

Thanks again. Looking forward to it.

Big Ride

Hey Joel, I am on the same page as for the type of ride this is. That's why I come to ADV. Not sure where riping the dirt came from but I have other bikes for that type of riding. I know what it takes to put a ride together of this size and truely appreciate your hard work. No disrespect intended and as you said...splitting the group into smaller groups will be easier to move this many bikes. Let's have a great ride.

Weather info

Hey folks, were roughly 1 mile due north of the P saloon, 39 degrees this am @8:00,rain 2 nights ago was 1" so Id expect more to have fallen in Ca Va and mud in places. latest report which is pretty accurate calls for 20% sat and 70% Sun for rain. I will be heading to town later and check the sign for road closures thru Hi Mtn/Ranchita Estates. Anymore 1/2" or more shuts it down for a week or so. No dirt worthy scoot for me so no go.

scape, thanks for the FIRST HAND info!.....

my guess is the sign was placed at the lopez end of hi mtn to prevent peeps from getting in trouble or stuck because of the rain. i hope it will be gone by tomorrow....or you can make it shrink....

if the hi mtn remains closed....we have 2 choices

1. take w.pozo road to hw 58 to hw101, and come out north of san luis obispo.

2. after pozo, turn around and take the same dirt road we came in, and back to carrizo to hw166 to cerro noroeste (? sp) to frazier park.

if there's rain in the forecast, chances are it will be in the late afternoon or early evening. we can skip lunch at pozo if we have to!

My bike is still at Eric's! Don't know if I will get it back in time to put her back together? Still need to change the fuel pump, new tire & new chain and sprockets. Might be a long night!

Everyone knows that tire wont take you but a minute.

If you need some help, post it up. One of us is bound to be able to lend a hand.

Anymore there pretty touchy regarding environmental issues and the fact a few years back a mom and 1 or 2 kids lost their lives when their Blazer was swept away in the Salinas when they attempted to cross at the Pozo end. Theres also a few veins of nasty clay goober mud in a ways on a off camber area thats hell if its wet enough, DAHIK . Its sunny @ 10:30 am with a slight overcast haze and 55 here at the homefront. For the ones that may not know the gas station in Margarita proper (Pintors) is open selling regular and diesel only.
I`ll post up this PM with the latest.
