These two guys are tough as nails.

I have ridden with them a couple of times, and I am totally embarrassed how soft I am compared to what these guys push themselves and their bikes into.

On the mainland runs daily ferry Kholmsk-Vanino.
From the South Sakhalinsk to Kholmsk is an excellent asphalt highway
On the ferry is necessary to reserve one day, time away is not respected.
The ferry was very slow, all night.
The cost of economy class with moto about 90 $

Wow. Where did you guys get fuel? Didn't see an extra tank anywhere on the bikes.

Yes, below zero.

Here, in my hands, soft tank.
Usually I had it 7-10 liters of gasoline.
tank was in the right rear bag.

hi pate, its a real shame we missed you i was looking forward to visiting sakalin.
I was led to beleive its boring , your photos certainly prove otherwise and it would have been good practice for the BAM.
Never mind theres always another time, and i,ve just started to learn russian which will make my next trip even more enjoyable.
