Thanks, it has been a while since I've been to Philly; well unless you count that time about a month ago when I went to Revzilla to get some new gear. I would like to go back and explore the city; last time I did that I was on a fifth grade field trip!
Well my leg is in a cast for 5 weeks, so I can't ride until then.
But if you come up this way, you have a place to stay.
My garage is small, but there is room to wrench on the bike or just park it.
We can take the cage out to explore some of the watering holes. :-)

Good luck on the round the world trip XC!

I find that the forums here are a great help and there is nothing wrong with leafing through a Fodors now and then for key spots. The thorn tree travelers site helped me in the past as well. Go with you gut.

Jeesh man you have the tat under your belt.
You will be writing your own ride report!

There was some left over ramps from LF. So since Mary went on travel this am, I went and grilled a bunch up in butter, Dillo spice and a little balsamic vinegar..........topped it off with crushed bacon.

Well I got ramp revenge this after......I've been Blooching up a storm.

Like you all needed to know that

Omlets stuffed with ramps, asiago and cheddar cheeses and smoked farmers bacon Thursday and then last night I made a heavy cream sauce with ramps mixed in and then dribbled crumbled sage sausage over the top - all over angle hair pasta.

Still have some ramps left. Goose said he was going to pickle some. Be nice to see how that turns out.

You might have better luck watching the grass grow.

Getting there!
I went to the Orthopedic Surgeon on Wednesday. He removed the temporary cast, took X-Rays and examined me.
He said I didn't need any screws, plates or surgery and said I should heal up nicely.
He put a new cast on and told me to come back Wednesday.
My leg was pretty swollen, so he will cut the cast off he put on last week and put a new one on this week when the swelling has subsided.
It's already subsided a great deal, but there is still some swelling.
He said I would have the cast on for 5 more weeks when I last saw him.
A week has passed, so I'm looking at another 4 weeks.
Bike was towed to the dealer last week and is waiting for an estimate and repair.
Really looking forward to getting back on the bike and doing more trips.
Your campout is October right?
