That ribeye looked delicious.

Check out http://www.eatwild.com/index.html for a farm near you.

Have wanted to see polyface farm since reading the Omnivore's Dilemma. And, so I've read--that corn is in everything, and is the main reason that antibiotics are required in the big feed lots. The other thing is that Joel's farm is a system, wouldn't work without the other animals, he concentrates on managing the grass.

Hbn and I attended one of Joel's lectures at Bridgewater college . His connections and examples of cause and effect were intriguing. One scenario involved beer production to ramping up the practice of feeding dairy cows the brewing waste grains in the form of silage . It's high bacteria levels dramatically increased the need for pasteurization and eventually was one of the contributors to increased dependency on antibiotics..
It is nice to know that there are people rediscovering and implementing the natural cycle of food production that achieves some sort of equilibrium .

Do NOT disparage the three wheelers, my friend. Even though I do have a fat ass! Someday, when you are old, fragile and skill-less you too will come to the 3 wheeled dark side.

You may just have to get the Cat Herders to roll over and set em straight (though we may get lost, forget why we were there and show up after closing...) - HburgNinja
