Now understand, I am not normally a greedly sort of person, but sometimes 103 hp just isn't enough.

Snap! Please pardon my ignorance, but what are you riding with 103 hp, what is that thing and what's your new projected power?

I figure since I sport the BWDR sticker, I should post here occassionally and not just lurk. I hope you don't mind.

Buell Ulysses has 103 hp stock. That is a Erik Buell Racing ECM. I have heard up to about 120 hp, but that seems a little optimistic to me. I will have to do more research to see what folks really are getting, or maybe even visit a dyno myself sometime.

Regardless of what the actual power numbers are, I can tell you there is a noticeable seat-of-the-pants difference. There is more power across the board, with a wonderful swelling about 4000rpm (or maybe that was just me). It is also a smoother power delivery and the engine runs cooler. The only down sides I see are perhaps lower fuel mileage, and most likely increased rear wear.

Sweet. Good luck and hold on tight. What do you know about similar mods for a 650 Strom?

Finally got the new bash plate last night. Had one of my students help me with the install today. Hell, it's the end of the year and ummm... it's almost related to trigonometry... sorta...

Why sure it is. After all, you had to get all the angles right to put it on.

Bolts to the through hole on the front of the case. Then the rear of the plate is attached via a support to a cross beam which is itself attached to the frame by u-bolts. No more crappy rubber bolt thingys to shear.

Very heavy duty stuff.
