Funny that you should post that. I've just about decided to go for a 0 mileage 2008 Megamoto with ABS (your OTHER bike)

Does it matter that Harley now owns MV?

Had an interesting day. Couldn't ride, but I did sit on a Triumph Street Triple and a KTM Superduke, both of which fit me very well. The Triumph Tiger was too wide, felt like I was on a horse. A Duc MS 1100S also fit. But, in the end, I was seduced by a pristine MegaMoto. It will need a few bits and pieces, a small screen, pivot pegs to drop the peg height and heated grips, but I got a offer that I couln't refuse. If they imported them here, I'd buy a K1300R, but they don't, so I can't. Meanwhile, the MM will just have to do.

best naked sport bike for me is the SV1000 .plenty of people dislike it but you can't knock the numbers, 112 hp 75 ft lb torque and it's even more fun then those numbers imply.

I do think that if you are looking for a sport/touring machine, the K1200R may be one of the best bikes for that purpose you can get. Mine does not buzz -- dead smooth. It does have a longer wheelbase which makes it somewhat less nimble in the twisties, but not much. You can attach the whole BMW luggage configuration without looking and feeling like you've over-loeaded a baby mule, and they can be had with ESA which is bitchin' on the road. This is mine not showing the rear BMW soft bag setup. But even with that on, the bike is amazingly roomy.

And here's the ADVrider test: http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=125933

How are you going to use the bike. I've owned both. Very different bikes.

I plan day trips, occasional commuting and weekend blasts around the area. I don't plan long touring, at least now.
