How lucky is that, to show up and bump into a Guzzi rally.

True! Lol! Unfortunately there isn't enough blue sky to go round. In fact this weekend we have had no blue sky .... Sarah and I did get out yesterday, back to Bute ..... on the motorbikes this time...... To get to Bute, which is about 1 and 1/2 hours ride away from Glasgow, you have to cross the Kyles of Bute on a very short ferry crosssing...

here we have all the possible weather, rain, cold, sunny, hot, etc... in 2 or 3 days. It's very difficult to pass to 10 degrees at 32 degrees in days an then return to 12.

When we stopped in Dunoon last week on the Waverley there was no snow thankfully!..... there were folk having a 'good time' - a 'stag do' party .... they had been drinking since 9:30 am waiting to board the boat in Glasgow and
got off at Dunoon... the bridegroom was dressed up in women's clothes (a pink and white 'majorette's outfit) and when the boat picked them back up in the evening half the group were now dressed in women's clothes.... I don't know what happened to them in Dunoon! ..... When we got back to Glasgow they were still drinking! (that's a full 11 hour's worth - I was surprised they could still walk, although some of them forgot their handbags onboard!)

No worries, hope you manage to get another sail on her.

This summer really sucks.
But......

No wait. I'll be back later for the "...".

Lol! ..... But I do love Moto-Guzzis ...when I was a young lad the 'Le Mans' was one of my dream bikes. I rode one years later - it was strange how it rocked from side to side when stationary if you revved it. Love the look of the Guzzi engine.

I love this thread.

I had a friend over yesterday and she said that her trip to Scotland was a disappointment. The history and all was great, but the terrain wasn't to her liking. After picking up my jaw, I decided that she will need to sit down and read this entire report. I will be there to answer any questions she has.

Personally, I live for this RR!
