If only it could be half as popular as 'Gangnam Style'......I'd be very happy with the royalties. !

Hi ..it is a 'small world' indeed ..seems strange that we were sitting on your wall ...and what a fine wall it was.

Yeah I'm sure we will bump into one another soon enough ...keep an eye out for our bikes and come and say Hi if you spot us.

Not been to the actual Trials themselves ..but seen the riders nipping between stages on the roads on previous rideouts up in that area ...this was near Ballachulish in May 2010...

Glad you like the pics .......thanks for saying so. I am currently using a Canon Powershot SX130is and my previous camera (which got destroyed during my crash in 2011) was a Canon Powershot AS720is (see first post on the thread).

Scot's gixxer......is testimony to the durability of GSXR's....the guy's a legend and this bike has seen a 'lot of life'....probably spent half of it's 50,000 miles on the rear wheel.

Let the good times roll...

Well, it's certainly a mean machine.
A bike like that would only work as a second bike for me anyway. So if I had the choice, I'd probably go for an R1 or a gixxer to be honest.
The S1000RR has got 1kg/hp, which is amazing and it really has a lot of grunt. But it is SO controlled. You never feel like riding a 200hp bike, even with the great sound. Not that anybody would need a 200hp bike, especially in Switzerland, but come on! If I have one, I wanna feel it all the way. And that's not mentioning how dangerous this all is for inexperienced riders...
It's just not happening with the beemer. Other than that - supreme engine, incredible brakes, fantastic look. Handling is ok, it's pretty comfy for a sportsbike.
So yeah, it was fun riding around, but I'd never pay that much for her.

BTW, I already put 2600 km on the viffer - since 31st March.
Most of it in gruesome weather, but oh well.

Good to see you guys and your beauties back on track! Here's hoping for a glorious (and accident-free) season!
I hope I'll make it up there at some point this year. We'll see.

Interesting that we both had similar feelings about the S1000RR ..... great bike ..but felt slightly 'soul less' ...and, for me, it didn't justify the extra 3,000 over the price of the gixxer.
