Whoah haggis and chips??? I grew up with haggis (unusual for an American - we used to smuggle them across the border from Canada), but never thought of pairing it with chips!

Glad to see you're getting some great rides in! I need to get my bikes out and stretch them out...:)

Cool2

I reckon Arrochar has gone downhill a lot in the past few years. The Pit Stop is awful, and that place you were at was using frozen chips the last time I was there. There's a great burger van at the Rest, though! really good stuff

Hi Liz ..good to hear from you again.

'Haggis n chips' ? .....makes more sense than deep fried Mars Bar!

Now you have moved will that mean more summer and less winter ...better for getting those bikes out of the lounge! .

Hi Charlie

Have to agree with you on the fish n chips ...not the best ...but made up for by the setting and views (luckily that hasn't gone down downhill).......

It's the one thing Sarah missed when she moved up from Norfolk - finding decent Fish n Chips up here ...At first I thought she was just being fussy ..but then I went to Norfolk and had the Haddock n Chips at the Kingfisher Bar in Walcott..my God! Just amazing!

Having said that, they do a decent Fish n Chips at McMonagles Clydebank, Mhor Fish in Callander, Real Food Café in Tyndrum and the Anstruther Fish Bar is ok too.

Totally agree on the Real Food Cafe! I was there yesterday! I'm glad most folk go to the Welly and leave the good stuff for the more discerning rider! Anstruther is excellent too

Enjoying the pics,by the way. You get a lot of airtime on the Loch Long road, even on an ancient TDM!

Cheers Charlie ...Re: 'airtime' - The good news is they have resurfaced the middle section of the Loch Long road ...so at least now you get a smooth 'take off'

Nice new tarmac..
