Hi Charlie

Have to agree with you on the fish n chips ...not the best ...but made up for by the setting and views (luckily that hasn't gone down downhill).......

It's the one thing Sarah missed when she moved up from Norfolk - finding decent Fish n Chips up here ...At first I thought she was just being fussy ..but then I went to Norfolk and had the Haddock n Chips at the Kingfisher Bar in Walcott..my God! Just amazing!

Having said that, they do a decent Fish n Chips at McMonagles Clydebank, Mhor Fish in Callander, Real Food Café in Tyndrum and the Anstruther Fish Bar is ok too.

Totally agree on the Real Food Cafe! I was there yesterday! I'm glad most folk go to the Welly and leave the good stuff for the more discerning rider! Anstruther is excellent too

Enjoying the pics,by the way. You get a lot of airtime on the Loch Long road, even on an ancient TDM!

Cheers Charlie ...Re: 'airtime' - The good news is they have resurfaced the middle section of the Loch Long road ...so at least now you get a smooth 'take off'

Nice new tarmac..

Now that would be a surprise! - She doesn't even like me wheelying......
although, on this road you can't help catching air if you take it at speed.

So Friday evening was lovely....

Sunday was on the other hand a tad 'dreich' ....

In fact after 20 miles we pulled over to debate if was worth pushing on if it was going to remain damp ..

We decided to change direction and head west to balloch in search of dry roads ....and were rewarded just north of Balloch the roads did indeed dry out ..even though the low cloud cover remained...

At Tarbet, by now the bikes were already filthy from the early wet conditions..

After seeing your photos, I'm going to have to save for a holiday to Scotland. My partner's daughter spent a year in Aberdeen working as a door bitch at one of the nightclubs there and told us that we have to get there and to see the rest of Scotland. Now that I've got my new bike, it's time to start saving the pennies.
