Great work mate, well appreciated.

Cheers, Keith.

Hi Keith, yeah Mull is great - although the roads aren't really great for sportsbikes ..we have done the ferry to Mull from Lochaline before too. ..we were just there for a day trip and if I remember it right we had to be careful we didn't miss the last one back at 7:00 ..

You must do Sanna Bay ..on a sunny day ...but the road from Salen to Sanna and back is hard going ...beautiful, - but hard going.

We have ADV visitors! ..... from France! .... bubu & Mrs bubu ...

...and what a lovely couple they are ...you couldn't hope to meet nicer folk.

My heart sank when I looked at the weather forecast for the 5 days they would be staying in Scotland - rain! every day! ...and this just after 3 weeks of glorious sunshine!
Luckily it wasn't totally right and we managed to get out all day Friday and Saturday with only one soaking ..and that was for just 10 mins.

On the Friday the best weather was to the south east so I took them to St Marys Loch via Peebles and Sekirk...

yeah that could be an option, how big a dude is he? My gfs about 5'8" and somewhat skinny, so if he's too big it may not look good after cutting a lot out.

You never know though!

Thanks

Lol! Thanks bubu - that is too kind. I am glad that both of you seem to have enjoyed your visit and we will be sad to see you go tomorrow.

Hopefully you will be back ..

It might work. Stuart is quite slim build and I reckon he is about 5'10" ... I will ask him next time I see him if he would consider selling.

Pics from Fiday continued .... at St Marys Loch there is this odd statue just sitting in the woods looking down over the Loch ...It is of James Hogg a local shepherd who later became a poet ...there can't be many shepherds who have such grand statues in their honour.... He now looks down on land he used to tend sheep on ...

They say you shouldn't meet folk off the 'tinternet'....... but so far they have been wrong .... they have all turned out to be great folk.

..I'm sure there must be 'internet friends' to be found in Australia too ? ... it's a huge place.

Unfortunately we did finally run into the forecast rain showers ... but by this time we had had our fun and were heading back to Glasgow ...

Stopping to 'suit up' as we could see heavy showers ahead ...

Trouble ahead ....

Luckily when we hit the rain, although it was heavy with water running down the road, it was short lived and over in about 10 mins ....we arrived back in Glasgow to find more sunshine waiting for us .... but it's always sunny in Glasgow ..

Yes Kam, many internet friends...what is funny is meeting up with fellow riders & finding out they are on ADVrider or DBW forums & then discovering their real names !!!!

I think bike riders the world over are a friendly bunch & share a common pastime & love of bikes.

Absolutely ..... on several occasions I have had strangers come to me on rideouts when we have been stopped in Oban or The Green Welly and ask - 'are you Kamchat' ? ..and strike up a conversation. They have usually recognised the bikes from the pics on here. .. and it's a small world at times.
