Sunday ride continued ..

Unfortunately I missed the turn off for the A72 and we had to stop, have a consultation and turn round ...in my defence at least I realised my mistake within a mile.

The A72 took us back down through Biggar and on to the Abington services on the M74 where we stopped for a brew and to say goodbye to one of our visitors who was heading back south 200 miles to home.

Unfortunately it rained again heavily on the run down to Abington ..but it didn't put Ally and Jeni swapping bikes to try each others out .... Jeni seemed to like the 1000 ......

At Abington services Ally came to the rescue of a couple who had locked their keys in their Land Rover..........

Ally using his skillz to fish keys out of the ignition....

Having a brew in the services .....our visiting friend Dave toasting us with a 'wee dram' from his hip flask.

Bikes were filthy after the run and getting rained on ...... Instead of the usual hour cleaning them by hand we cheated a bit......

Cheers Fraser ..... it's interesting to see how different folk see different things in pictures, I didn't think the pic you refer to 'stood out' in particular and wasn't going to post it up ...and only posted it when I realised it matched one of bubu at the exact same location, - (to illustrate the point I was making).

I realise now if I was to pick my favourite pics on this thread they would probably be totally different to one's others would pick ... beauty truly is in the 'eye of the beholder' ...

It was a fair division of labour - I took all the pictures.

Was in Ducati Glasgow yesterday getting a new rear tyre for the gixxer and saw this .... my jaw dropped! - A second hand gixxer 600 that someone had traded in for a Ducati .......

..it was virtually new ..with 105 miles on the clock! - 105 miles! Why!? Why would you do that!?

They also had the new Panigale R's in........ 26,500! Ouch! ...and they have sold loads of them apparently. I asked if Panigale owners were trading their standard and 'S' models in for them ..... I was told - 'No, some buyers are buying tem to add to their existing Panigale sitting in their garage!

Nice ! That's going to be a real 'mile-muncher'. Looking good for what must be about a 15 yr old bike ?

That must be eight bikes now ? ...You are going to need a bigger garage! Lol!

yes, it is my eight one

Really a big great bike. Not really easy if you want to go fast on bends...

Now i am starting to set up it perfectly (new shock, new forcks, new brakes, etc...)

not only a motorway cruiser.

You can be very fast on small roads too (if you are not a beginner and if you have ice in your blood )
