We had been out on a cycle ride at the time. Saturday is our 'cycling' day. Went up to Lochearnhead and did the south Loch Earn road. This road runs the length of Loch Earn .... a bit like the A85 that we ride on the motorbikes ...but on the south side of the Loch instead of the north. It is quite a scenic wee road ...... here is the bridge over the Burn of Ample...

The rocks almost look to be 'flowing' under the bridge...

Well, up to to about page 102 now....getting there.

I have seen so many references to fish and chips in the last 100 pages, I started craving them. We almost went to a diner, that served them, by us tonight, but wife had cravings for some Sonic...so went there instead.

Ha ha ...... yes, it probably does seem like we eat nothing but 'fish n chips' lol! ... but if you have just gone through 102 pages, - that probably represents three years worth of fish n chips' ..... We do eat other stuff, honest ....

In fact this was lunch on Saturday's outing ..at the Village Store Café in St Fillans at the east end of Loch Earn ....... soup and a bacon roll (and a very fine bacon roll it was too) ...I was ready for it after a cycle in the fresh air.

The café...

Whilst we were sitting at the café these bikes arrived and we got chatting with the riders ...my eye was particularly taken with the wee 'BSA'...

But that isn't a BSA engine in there....

Turns out it was a Chinese unit that the owner sourced second-hand for only £130. I asked him about reliability and he said he had done 4000 miles on it with no issues so far.

To get to the café we had to cross the wee bridge over the River Earn...it gives you a nice view up Loch Earn looking west.

As mentioned previously, we came across a large 'scooter gathering' at the 'Rob Roy' near Aberfoyle on our way back to Glasgow ...so I had to stop and take a few snaps of some of the machines ......

As we say in America..." Holy Crap". Glad it all worked out.

Been trying to avoid on posting regarding all the older posts, but that news was worthy.
